Meet Our Leadership Team
Peter & Courtney Jackson
Lead Pastor & Children's Leader
Courtney spent her entire childhood in Troy, Texas, while Peter lived in 4 different states before landing in Holland, Texas for his high school years. From early on in life, Peter and Courtney were both in church. Peter’s dad was a Baptist pastor and Courtney’s mom taught Sunday school at their local Lutheran Church. However, neither of them committed their lives to Jesus until their later teenage years.
Married at the ages of 20 and 18, Peter and Courtney jumped fulltime into the work force early. Courtney managed Blockbusters, we all know how that ended, while Peter played in a rock band and waited tables. As these seasons came to a close, they both felt a call towards working at, and serving in the local church. Peter has been in fulltime vocational ministry since he was 23, serving in the position of Worship Pastor, Youth Pastor, Interim Lead Pastor, and now Lead Pastor. Courtney has always served in Children’s ministry while caring for their two children, Kimber and Creek, and working other jobs on the side
Passion for Jesus and His church didn’t come to them all at once. Through their lives together they can point back to moments of clarity, loss, inspiration, and intrigue, and all these moments culminated into a burning passion to see communities changed through the witness of the local church. When the local church is healthy, the community around it will feel loved, served, and seen.
